Hi neighbors,
In the past week there have been two suspected, though not confirmed, reports of ICE activity just beyond our city’s borders — one in east Edmonds and another in north Shoreline. Whether or not these reports are accurate, they’re a reminder that federal immigration enforcement can appear close to home, and that we should be ready to respond in ways that keep our community safe.
One simple but important way to do that is to document what you see. The flyer below lays out clear steps for observing safely:

Another important tool is the WAISN Rapid Response Hotline. This hotline connects trained volunteers to monitor, verify, and support when ICE activity is reported in Washington State. You can call or text the hotline, and are encouraged to text or emails photos and videos of suspected ICE activity.
• Phone: (844) 724-3737
• Email: [email protected]
👉 Click here or scan the QR code below to add the WAISN Rapid Response Hotline to your contacts. If you are on an iPhone or iPad then click “Create New Contact.” I imagine Android has something similar.

Please consider saving this number now. If you ever witness ICE enforcement in our area, you’ll know exactly who to call.
Mountlake Terrace has long been a welcoming place. Resources like these help us live up to that value — ensuring that every neighbor feels seen, safe, and supported.
Thanks for reading,
Dustin
